The Summer World University Games: The games are the world's largest event for student-athletes and the second-largest global Olympic multi-sport event, second only to the Olympic Games. Held every other year in the odd year, the Games feature the best collegiate and university athletes from over 150 countries competing in 15 compulsory sports and 3 optional sports during an approximately 2-week long event.

United States International University Sports Federation (USIUSF): Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, the USIUSF is the United States member of FISU. The USIUSF selects and supports a U.S. Host City to be its partner, whenever the USIUSF puts forth a bid for a major FISU event, such as the Summer World University Games.
